Alterra Visor

Been through six visors now. 1/2 from crashes the others from minute things like dropping it from knee level or leaning across the helmet to get something out of the back of the truck. The little nubs that hold the visor in its up or down position snap if you look at them wrong. And yes, $48 to replace all to often is quite the cherry on top. Its a wonder they're out of stock.....

The Alterra visor has a major design flaw - its point of attachment is a tiny piece of plastic that is easily broken if the visor meets any small amount of pressure, even if it's not a trail impact. The original design is probably to make sure it can detach safely during a crash, unfortunately it also likes to detach in any other scenario too. I've gone through 2 and the replacement price is truly mind boggling.
