Valentin Guillod Makes U.S. Debut in 450 Class with 6D Helmets

Longtime 6D athlete and Swiss motocross talent Valentin Guillod made his U.S. debut this weekend in the premier 450cc class of the AMA Pro Motocross Championship. Guillod arrived in the States just days before the National and delivered an impressive 10-13 moto score for 11th overall.

Running the number 992 instead of his usual 92, Guillod is set to contest the full U.S. outdoor series with support from the 6D backed Rock River Yamaha team. Unsatisfied with his team options in Europe, he made the jump to the U.S. series in time for the first round, just one month after breaking his collarbone.

He’s racing on essentially a stock Yamaha, bringing only his exhaust and suspension from overseas. Despite the quick turnaround and minimal setup time, Guillod proved he’s ready to mix it up with the best in the class.

We’re proud to support Valentin in this new chapter and can’t wait to see what the rest of the season holds, keep an eye out for the number #992 at a National near you!
