Hattie Harnden Takes Second In The 2026 Downhill World Cup Overall
What a season for Hattie Harnden and AON Racing. It all came down to the final race in Lake Placid over the weekend in an incredibly tight competition for the second place overall.
Traveling across the continent from Whistler last weekend to New York, riders were met with more wet and wild qualifying conditions that exposed massive rocks and put deep ruts in the track, making it incredibly difficult to make it to finals.
Thankfully, the skies cleared ahead of finals and allowed some much needed speed to return back to the track. Hattie made a few mistakes at the top, but managed to get faster as she worked her way down, finishing in a respectable 6th place for the day. Importantly, she finished ahead of her competition for the second place overall and secured silver for the season!
In only the second year for AON racing, they managed to finish 11th in the team overall rankings. Highlights of the season include Reece Wilson's second in Andorra, Hattie's win in Les Gets, and her bronze finish at World Championships. To top that off with second place overall is the icing on the cake to a great year for this small team. We look forward to next year to as the riders get some much needed rest during the off season.
